Mt. Tolmie
Two professional musicians and their family live in this older home located in a convenient, quiet neighbourhood. They hoped for this small home to accommodate their family living, work space, visitors, and room to rehearse classical music, often with many members of their ensembles. The addition of a room off the basement creates the space the needed for music and work, and the renovation of the rest of the basement makes room for family living and visitors. While we were at it, we added a bit of space to the upstairs bedroom to create a connection to the back yard, renovated the previously cramped bathrooms, fixed the upstairs floors, and gave the hardworking laundry & storage room a much needed overhaul. The new space has fabulous acoustic qualities and has worked out just as planned for rehearsals, work, and social get-togethers.
